As a former Costume designer Sonya always had a passion for design, fashion and art. This is where she developed an artistic passion for hair & makeup which ultimately led her into the beauty industry. As a Master stylist with over 14 years experience, she has attended advanced training courses on hair cutting from nationally recognized institutions such as Vidal Sassoon Academy, Eufora International, Tony & Guy, celebrity artists Ted Gibson and Riwana Capri. Sonya further pursued advanced training in many advanced hair coloring techniques from Eufora, Redken, Wella, Davines, Schwarkopf, Nine Zero One and Mane Ivy.
Sonya’s expertise lies in her precision short hair cutting, Natural dimensional hair coloring, highlighting, Balayage and Makeup Artistry. As our head Makeup Artist and Creative Director, she continually participates within the production industry collaborating in Photo shoots, NYFW, Fashion Shows, editorial magazine features and Television. Sonya’s determination to continually stay relevant in the industries trends exemplifies our culture of customer satisfaction, our passion and individualistic creativity at Haim salon.
